A key part of this is how the paint is applied. Ensuring the paint in the bucket is manufactured in the most ecological and sustainable manner is an outstanding achievement in itself. However, in the bucket, paint has no functionality. It needs to be applied.
Working with QTech, five of the core products have now been exhaustively trialled for spray application. Due to the high solid content of Graphenstone paints, airless spray was selected and is recommended as the method of choice.*
The trials were conducted using a QTech QT190 Plus paint sprayer. Complete with a hopper, this machine is the ideal choice when aiming to keep wastage to an absolute minimum.
The results were superb. Coverage, even with strong colours over neutrals, was outstanding. In addition to this, the finish showed a flat consistency that is extremely difficult to achieve when applying these paints with a brush or roller.

Actual results when used ‘on the job’ may well vary, and could be influenced by a number of external factors including age and condition of machine/tip, temperature, humidity levels and substrate that the paint is being applied to.
